INSTRUMENT COACHING
Instrument coaching is intended for children aged 7–8 and it is organised in groups. It is particularly well suited after music playschool if the child has not yet made up their mind about which instrument to play.
In instrument coaching, children get to know the many instruments Turku Conservatory has by listening, watching and trying them themselves. In addition, children practise the basics of music in the instrument coaching classes, which lays down the foundation for moving to music lessons. The instrument coaching classroom is in Linnankatu, but the class sometimes visits the Mestarinkatu school building. The music playschool teacher is in charge of instrument coaching, together with the music teachers. Instrument coaching is a study module that lasts for one school year and it is taught in groups.
The application period for instrument coaching is open at the same time as for the music and singing lessons.
