Evening caretaker
Turku Conservatory is seeking to recruit an hourly paid evening caretaker.
You are expected to have a service-oriented attitude, good interpersonal skills, initiative and knowledge of the music industry. The role involves customer service, building maintenance and equipment, moving goods, concert bellman duties and technical duties.
The applicant should have a degree in music and a knowledge of and interest in AV technology. The position is suitable for a student, for example.
Shifts are held at the Conservatory’s premises according to the shift schedule during teaching hours. The main working hours of the evening supervisor are between 15.00 and 20.30. Occasional weekend work is also possible. Shifts may also be available for events in Sigyn Hall. Shifts are agreed by a team consisting of the building manager, the operations manager and the evening caretakers.
The salary of the evening supervisor is currently €12.79 per hour (administrative and support staff, grade 3), according to the TES for the private education sector. Evening and weekend shifts are paid at the rate laid down in the collective agreement. Salaries are paid according to the hours worked. There is a 6-month probationary period at the beginning of the employment relationship.
