The aim of the Diamond Series is to offer the audience memorable concerts. All concerts in the series are open to the public. The series is supported by the Turku Conservatoire Support Foundation and the Liedon Säästöpankki Foundation.
The Autumn 2026 Diamond Series begins with Markus Rantasen’s musical lecture on the bagpipes. On Sunday evening, 1 November at 6.00 pm, the concert ‘The Power of Emotions – The Earthquake of the 17th Century’ will take place on stage in the Sigyn Hall, delving into the drama and emotional range of the early Baroque period. On Friday 6 November at 6.00 pm, the soundscapes of two impressive instruments will come together in the concert ‘Kellojen kaikua’, when organist Julia Tamminen and harpist Krista Leivo perform together. On the final evening of the Diamond Series in the Sigyn Hall, on Sunday 8 November at 6.00 pm, ‘The Great Sonatas’ will be performed, in which Esa and Matti Moilanen delve into a key and demanding chamber music repertoire for cello and piano, featuring works by Beethoven and Rachmaninov.
