Cooperation between the Turku Conservatory, the Pirkanmaa Music Institute and the Åland Music Institute has been carried out in the form of orchestral visits several times. Based on these, the idea of organizing a joint playing weekend for trumpeters in Turku was born. The date was the end of October, 24–25.10.2026, and joint playing and improvisation in groups will be offered at that time. The weekend will culminate in a closing concert on Sunday, where the groups will present the results of their training. The teachers are Åke Hillar (ÅMI), Anna-Leena Lumme and Jukka Pitkänen (PMO) and Johanna Laakso and Ilkka Arola (Turku Conservatory). The lessons are organized at different skill levels, starting from one year of playing experience to players at the level of advanced studies.
