Seminar: Changing funding structures in music education and expanding collaboration

The Finnish Conservatory Association, in cooperation with the Turku Conservatory, is organizing the seminar Changing funding structures in music education and expanding collaboration at the Sigyn Hall on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
The seminar will explore new opportunities in the funding of music education and changes in the operating environment. The program will cover topics such as new funding channels, corporate collaboration, fundraising, and donations as ways to diversify the financial base of the music institutions.
The keynote speech will be given by Max Mickelsson, Senior Advisor in Public Affairs and Advocacy at Miltton Networks. A panel discussion will bring together funders, representatives of music education institutions, and experts in fundraising, partnerships, and advocacy to discuss the future of funding structures in music education. The panel will be moderated by Kaisa Rönkkö, Director of the Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike).

The seminar is open to everyone interested in the development of music education as well as the funding of the arts and culture sector. The event is organized as part of the Future-Proof Learning Culture project. Please note that changes to the program are possible.
