Organisation
Turku Conservatory has two educational tasks: vocational education and training in the music and basic education in the arts, advanced syllabus in music.
Turku Conservatory’s business name is Turun konservatorio Oy (Turun musiikinopetus Oy until 31 July 2024) and it is owned by the City of Turku. The company will continue to provide training that were the task of the previous Turku Conservatory Support Association and Turku Region Music School Support Association following the business transfers carried out as of 1 January 2020. Turku Conservatory holds authorisations from the Ministry of Education and Culture for the provision of education in vocational qualifications and training in the music sector as well as for the basic education in the arts, advanced syllabus in music.
