Turku Conservatory offers vocational upper secondary education and training in classical music, pop and jazz music and music technology. Those who have already completed vocational upper secondary education and training can complete the further vocational qualification in music production.
Vocational education and training is available in Finnish, so applicants must have sufficient language skills to successfully complete their studies in Finnish.
Vocational upper secondary education and training provides a well-rounded base for a career in the music sector. As upper secondary education, it is free of charge and offers an opportunity to improve your music skills at a favourable age.
For decades, Turku Conservatory has trained Finland’s leading musicians. Our students have found employment well and are valued as experts in different music-related tasks.
We have created a strong cooperation network in the field of music that our students can use in their studies. In addition to school classes, our students are able to test their skills in real workplaces in the music sector as their studies progress.
DEPARTMENTS
At Turku Conservatory, you can study music in three different departments. Studying across genre and subject boundaries is also possible.
PARTIAL QUALIFICATION
You can also study smaller modules than the whole initial vocational qualification at Turku Conservatory’s vocational education and training.


FURTHER VOCATIONAL QUALIFICATION IN MUSIC PRODUCTION
Further vocational qualification in music production is a qualification following the vocational qualification in music, in which the students familiarise themselves with a certain area of music production in greater depth than in the vocational qualification: music management, music production or songwriting.
